African Games: Nigeria beat Togo 38-19 in opening match

THE Nigeria’s Handball team, on Wednesday, began their campaign at African Games in Accra, Ghana with a comfortable 38-19 victory over Togo.
Cosmos Chukwuemeka, the Media Assistant, Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), stated this in a statement in Lagos.
He said that Coach Rafiu Salami’s men continued where they left off from the Africa Men’s Handball Nations Cup which held in Egypt.
“They worked their socks off to dominate the match all through and could have won with a higher margin.
“Nigeria will now play Mali in their second match on Friday at 7.00 pm Nigeria time, where a victory for them will see them advance to the semifinal.
African Champions, Egypt defeated Mali 49-16 in the other game.(NAN)
