Anambra monthly sanitation exercise holds Saturday, December 27

THE government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo has remained committed to its vision of enthroning a liveable and prosperous smart mega-State where everybody can live work and enjoy.
To further drive this vision, the State government had always observed the monthly sanitation exercise across the state.
According to the State Waste Management Agency, ASWAMA led by it’s Managing Director, Mike Ozoemena, the sanitation exercise for the month will hold on o December 17, between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00am.
Being the last sanitation exercise for the year, this is to ensure that the nooks and crannies of Anambra are kept clean during this year’s yuletide and new year celebrations.
He urged Anambra people to participate in this month’s exercise by desilting their drainage systems, cutting the bushes around their property and businesses places, as well as generally keeping their surroundings neat and clean.
Also, in line with the door-o do0//-or policy of the state government, Anambra people are enjoined to bag their wastes and keep in front of their houses, from where ASWAMA will make collection and dispose of them, appropriately.
He said: “You’ll recall that human and vehicular movements are usually restricted during sanitation exercises; the December exercise will not be an exception as offenders will be arrested and prosecuted according to the law
