According to him, the collapse of the two bridges ocassioned by heavy downpour, has pushed the people of the affected communities into serious hardship.

”The affected communities are well known for a lot of businesses, including farming activities.

“Therefore,  the collapse of the bridges has really affected the economic and social activities of the people, as they cannot connect with their relatives in other areas.

“Like you know, we also have a lot of farmers in both local governments, but the collapse of the bridges has made it difficult for them to convey their goods to markets.

“Also, our traders find it difficult to carry their goods to other neighbouring markets as they normally do on a  daily or weekly basis,” he stated.

The lawmakers therefore called on the State Government to as a matter of urgency repair the bridges.
