Bola Olaosebikan, medical doctor, writer and publisher, Health Care, Nigeria’s first health magazine, 60, June 2. Born in Offa, Kwara State, he was educated at Mark’s Primary School, Offa, 1970-1973; Kwara State College of Technology, 1974-1976; College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, 1976-1981; where he graduated with MBBS Degree. He was the national assistant secretary-general of the Nigeria Medical Association in 1985; board member, Lagos State Hospital Management Board and former commissioner for health in Kwara State. Olaosebikan founded Health Care magazine in 1986, and runs Sunrise Clinic based in Lagos. He was appointed commissioner for environment and tourism in August 2003, in Kwara State. He holds the traditional titles of Asoju Oba of Imota in Lagos, and Babaewe of Offa in Kwara State.
