REV. Fr. Alphonsus Ezeoke, parish priest, Assumption Catholic Church, Nimo, has urged students of St. Joseph Nursery and Primary School, Nimo, to embrace and uphold good virtues and values at all times.

Ezeoke said this in a graduation ceremony of St. Joseph Nursery and Primary School, Nimo.

“As you go higher in pursuit of academic excellence, do not derail from the good norms that St. Joseph school has inculcated in you.

“Continue to lift our flag high wherever you may find yourselves. Wisdom, Knowledge and Fear of God which is our school motto should be your watch word,’’ Ezeoke said.

The Head Mistress of the school, Rev. Sr. Onyinye Morah said that the school had been maintaining exceptionally high position in various competitions including quizzes, match past and mathematics.

“We have represented Njikoka LGA in the match past in Awka for four consecutive years now and have recorded excellence in our performances at internal and external examinations.

“We are proud of our products because they are representing and exhibiting what they learned here wherever they are.

“Our children gain admission into renowned schools like Federal Government Colleges, Seminary, Air Force and Mission schools. The children are excelling academically, morally and socially,’’ Morah noted.

Chairman of the occasion, Chukwuka Anibueze lauded parents and guardians for their efforts and contributions toward the upbringing of their children.

“To our graduating basic six pupils; you are now going to secondary school. You have just ended to begin again. Work harder for success, hold on to the training you received here and it will be well with you.

“Nursery three pupils, welcome to basic one by next term in September. You are going higher in education, study harder for better results.

“We appreciate our teachers whose untiring efforts made sure that our children are what they are today. They put in all their time, energy and material resources to inculcate good morals in our children,’’ Anibueze said.

Chairman, Parents Teachers Association, PTA, Magnus Obodoeze, commended the teachers and the parents for their efforts in shaping the lives of the children.

“Today is a joyful day. A day of thanksgiving to God for his benevolence and for bringing us together to say congratulations to the graduating pupils,’’ Obodoeze said.

Njideka Chidume a parent of one of the graduating pupils, expressed satisfaction over the quality of education the school offers.

“The school is a place to be, great citadel of learning. Come one come all,’’ Chidume appealed.

Cutting of graduation cake, presentation of gifts to out gone teachers, cultural and dance displays were part of events that marked the day.
