C . Don Adinuba, Anambra State commissioner for information and Public Enlightenment, has commended the government of Anambra for prudence in the management of state’s resources.

Adinuba noted that irrespective of the present economic meltdown, the governor had sustained prompt payment of workers’ salaries, pensions and gratuity to retired civil servants.

He said this during the 2018 Information Management Conference held at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Awka.

The conference was organised by the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.

Adinuba, while comparing Anambra with other states noted that Gov. Obiano had recorded unprecedented standards in project execution above its contemporaries.

“Obiano is frugal as he cuts down unnecessary expenses. In other states, commissioners are using expensive cars. In Anambra commissioners use modest cars like pick up vans. I use pick up as a commissioner.

“Even the vehicle our governor is using was purchased by his predecessor. His deputy also inherited his vehicle from his predecessor.

“This is to cut down costs of governance so as to improve the standards of living in the state.

“Our governor is a man of integrity. No governor has recorded excellence in governance like Gov. Obiano. Anambra is also leading in the provision of security to citizens of Anambra,’’ he noted.
