CLO chieftain father's burial slated for April 28

THE remains of Late Sylvester Obika Ezekwueme of Uguakwu Village Umuchu in Aguata Local Government will be laid to rest at his compound Uguakwu Village Umuchu on Friday,  April 28.

Recall late Ezekwueme, patriarch of Ezekwueme family and one of the oldest in Aguata, died peaceful on February 8, after brief illness associated with old age.

Late Ezekwueme was the father of human rights activist, social critic  and Chairman Civil Liberties Organization, CLO Anambra State, Vincent Ezekwueme.

In a press release issued to newsmen endorsed by the head of the family and chairman burial committee Simon Ezekwueme stated that there will be Christian Wake keep at his residence at no 14 Uga Street Fegge Onitsha on Tuesday April 25. There will be  lying in state Friday, April 28, at his country home Uguakwu Village, Umuchu, funeral Mass and interment follows immediately.

Funeral ceremonies continues on Saturday 29th with condolences by in-laws, friends and well wishers and thanks giving Mass on Sunday,  April 30.

Necessary arrangements has been made to accord befitting and hitch free respect and honor to our departed hero,patriot and partriarch.

Late Ezekwueme was a rare and unique gift to humanity, agent for positive change with impeccable integrity. He believed in social justice, equity, morality, good conscience based on truth and justice.

The family prays for eternal reposed of his gentle and humble soul.

His son Vincent Ezekwueme stated that the greatest and best tributes to pay to his memory is to emulates his selfless sacrifices for common good, tenacity of purpose, love for social, morality justice, truth, equity and good conscience.

“We remains eternally grateful for those who have sympathies and identifies with us at this mourning and painful period,” he said.
