Dayo Duyile, journalist and administrator, 73, October 10. Born in Ondo, Ondo State, he was educated at Catholic Primary School, Okitipupa, Ondo State, 1947; Anglican Primary School, Okitipupa, 1949; St Luke’s Secondary Modern School, Okitipupa, 1955 and University of Lagos, Akoka, 1972-1975. He was appointed deputy editor, Drum magazine, 1972-1975; editor, Daily Sketch, Ibadan, 1976-1978; acting general manager, Daily Sketch, 1978-1979; manager, training and manpower development, Concord Press, Lagos, 1980-1982; public relations consultant, 1983-1985; assistant director, Nigeria Institute of Journalism, 1986-1988 and acting director, Nigeria Institute of Journalism, 1988. He is a member of Nigeria Union of Journalists; member, Commonwealth Press Union and pioneer president, Commonwealth Journalists Association, Nigeria.
