Delta Assembly screens, confirms Oborevwori’s nominees

THE Delta House of Assembly, on Tuesday, screened and confirmed Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori’s nominees for appointment into various commissions, boards and agencies of the Government.

The nominees were screened during the plenary session of the assembly in Asaba.

Those screened for the State Sports Commission were Mr Joshua Oborevwori as Chairman, Mr Samuel Sodje, Mrs Henrietta Iheakonyen, and Mrs Oghale Ofremu as members.

The Assembly also screened and confirmed the nominees for the State Traffic Management Authority.

The list included Peter Idion as Chairman, Mr Okiemute Essien, Director General, Mr Ogagaoghene Otikpo and Mr Charles George as members.

Also screened and confirmed were the nominees for the State Public Procurement Commission.

The nominees were Mr David Igodo as Chairman, Mr Edwin Abraka, Director General, Mr Venture Daniels and Mr Fyncountry Tamaraebi as members.

The assembly also screened and confirmed Mr Sunday Ebireri as Chairman of the State House of Assembly Service Commission, while Chief Moses Onowu was screened as member.

The Speaker of the House, Mr Dennis Guwor, advised the nominees to live up to their responsibility and work diligently in the positions they were nominated to serve. (NAN)
