Edet James Amana, engineer and politician, 78, December 11. Born in Uyabia Oron, Akwa Ibom State, he was educated in Nigeria and the UK. He is the chairman of Amana Group of Companies and a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, NSE. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Association of African Development Experts. Amana is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
