DR. Ramatu Aliyu, Minister of State for FCT,  has received the former National Youth Leader of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Paul Ogudu, into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ogudu was received by Aliyu and the APC National Secretary, Chief Iyiola Omisore, at the Progressives Young Leaders Summit held on Monday in Abuja.

Aliyu, who commended the ADC’s former national youth leader for his decision, described it as a strength for the ruling APC.

“Every political party has two legs, the youths and the women. Today we have one leg of the ADC broken and strengthening the youth fold of the APC. This indeed is great.

“Do you know why? A single decision of a youth in this country matters. We said it is youth O’clock. Youths have awaken to their responsibility. They have embraced APC in totality.

“We said it here yesterday, if you want the best for the Nigerian youths, come to the APC fold. If you want the most articulated Nigeria youths, come to the APC family,’’she said.

Aliyu, urged other youths to show others the road to victory come the 2023 general elections.

“I thank you for making the right decision at the right time. However, now that you have realised, and by the power conferred on me by President Muhammadu Buhari as Minister of State FCT, I present to you, this broom which symbolises unity.

“I urge you to use your privileged position to show others the road to victory.’’

She said that the APC was united to confront whatever is ready for the party, adding that, “APC has given good governance and will continue in the same trend.

“We will perfect that which we have started by the grace of God. We believe in this continuity and by the special grace of God, our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will be President of Nigeria in 2023,”Aliyu said.

Also speaking, Omisore, commended Ogudu for joining the ruling party at the critical time, saying APC has no new or old members, but all partaker to success that need to work hard and pray.

Omisore expressed confidence that the Tinubu/Shettima-led administration would run a youth-friendly government.

Ogudu, who publicly tore his ADP membership card, said “I, formerly the national youth leader of ADC defect my membership and I collapse the national, state, local government, ward and unit of ADC into the APC.

“My capacity will be demonstrated when campaign stated to kick start this month of September.”
