The Ogun Command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Wednesday said that it arrested 26, 284 traffic offenders for various offences between January and September in the state.
Mr Clement Oladele, the Sector Commander of FRSC, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota, Ogun.
The figure, he said, was less than 26,550 traffic offenders within the periods in 2017.
He noted that the figure declined in 2018 as a result of FRSC commitment to ensure sanity on the highways.
“The prevailing offences among the erring offenders include speed violations, failure to install speed limiter, the use of expired tyres, lack of side mirror and failure to obtain drivers` license, “he said. (NAN)
