Galaxy Backbone partners NIGCOMSAT on effective digitisation

GALAXY Backbone has partnered with Nigeria Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Ltd. to facilitate effective digitisation in the country.

The Managing Director, Galaxy Backbone, Prof. Ibrahim Adeyanju, said this on Monday when he paid a visit to NIGCOMSAT Headquarters in Abuja.

Adeyanju underscored the need for both agencies to explore opportunities to promote the present administration’s goals and agenda.

According to him, the collaboration between government’s agencies is crucial for the successful implementation of government’s policies and programmes.

The managing director emphasised the importance of teamwork and partnership in achieving success, saying both agencies could work together to leverage their respective strengths and resources to achieve common objectives.

“There are potential areas of collaboration between the two agencies.

“By working together, Galaxy Backbone and NIGCOMSAT can leverage their respective strengths and resources to achieve common objectives,’’ he said.

In her remarks, the Managing Director of NIGCOMSAT, Mrs Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, expressed enthusiasm to collaborate and work towards the common goal of a digitally inclusive Nigeria.

Egerton-Idehen said the agencies would align their strategies and enhance coordination to maximise the impact of its efforts by pooling resources, knowledge, and innovative ideas.

She said Galaxy Backbone and NIGCOMSAT could effectively deliver the necessary digital infrastructure, reliable connectivity, and accessible digital services to all local government areas across the country.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the two agencies have collaborated to build a digitally empowered nation where connectivity is widespread and accessible to every Nigerian. (NAN)
