Haroun Al-Basheed Adamu, political scientist, journalist and publisher, 73, March 30. Born in Makurdi, Benue State, he was educated at the Philips Exeter Academy, New Hamshire, USA; Yale University, New Haven, USA; London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London and Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria. He was editorial consultant, Daily Times, and managing director of Triumph Publications Limited, Kano. He also published the Nigerian Economist, now defunct.
