MR Lekan Folorunso, a father of two told a Mapo Grade ‘A’ Customary Court in Ibadan that he sold marijuana to provide for his two children and wife.

Folorunso made the confession on Wednesday in his counter argument against his wife’s allegation of being irresponsible.

”I also beg on the streets sometimes in order to meet up with my responsibility as a father and husband.

“Before she moved out of my home, I did everything humanly possible to take care of Titilayo and our two children.

“My lord, Titilayo is adulterous, greedy  and insatiable.” he said.

Earlier, in her testimony, Titilayo accused her husband of making life difficult for her.

”His younger brother attempted to rape  me when I visited my her in-laws.

”He is an unrepentant adulterer who slept with his friend’s girlfriend. The angry friend consequently shot him in the leg.

“As if that was not enough,  the police arrested and detained me for 14 days because Folorunso bought stolen goods,” she said.

Delivering judgment, the court’s President, Mrs S.M. Akintayo dissolved the union and granted custody of the two children to Titilayo.

Akintayo gave an order directing the police to carry out a full scale investigation into the respondent’s claim that he sold Cannabis to cater for his family.

”The court will not condone any form of criminality in the society,” she held.

She also ordered both Titilayo and Folorunso to be jointly responsible for the education and welfare of the children.

“However, the respondent must not be prevented from having access to his children,” Akintayo held. (NAN)
