Linda Chuba-Ikpeazu, member representing Onitsha North and South constituencies in the Federal House of Representatives, has flagged off N1 billion Flood and Erosion control project at Boundary Avenue, Housing Estate, Onitsha.

The project covers Orange Market, Ochanja; Sir Louis Mbanefo; Mbonu Ojike; Bishop Shanahan; Palmer; Shebba; Umuasele and Mbaukwu Streets, all in Fegge area of Onitsha.

Uche Okiwe, the constituency office manager of Linda Chuba-Ikpeazu, said that the lawmaker had attracted other federal projects such as youth empowerment, road construction and provision of boreholes to her constituency.

“Ms Chuba-Ikpeazu was able to carry out the projects because of her commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to her people,” he said.

Victor Nkiruka, the Onitsha North Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, chairman, and Frank Onuorah, Onitsha South vice-chairman, noted that the projects attracted by Chuba-Ikpeazu could have continually been abandoned if she did not fight for them.

They commended Chuba-Ikpeazu for her efforts and urged the people to support her at the upcoming election so that the good works would continue.

Present at the event were members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, All Progressive Congress Party, APC, and PDP.
