AN Ilorin based legal practitioner, Mr Usman Ibrahim, has called on Nigerians to support the new government on policies to make the country better.

Ibrahim, who made the appeal in Ilorin on Saturday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said the  new administration at all levels need public support to perform excellently.

According to him, Nigerians always fault government harsh decisions and policies that will better the lives of citizens.

“The public need to play along and stop faulting every tough decisions by the new government. Nigeria really need tough actions to regain its status.

“Since President Bola Tinubu made his position known on fuel subsidy since May 29, Nigerians have been lamenting and saying negative things against the new government.

“This is a new government. Let us give him time and support his policies if we truly care for a better Nigeria.

“Let us join hands and cooperate with the government to move Nigeria forward instead of condemning their policies,” he said.

The lawyer, however, advised the new administration to prioritise public wellbeing to make life easy for them. (NAN)
