IT was a day of joy and celebration for the family of Tajudeen Abdul when he gave out Ola, her daughter, in marriage to Richard Osaji on Thursday, January 10. The wedding, which attracted many dignitaries in social circles, took place at Daystar Christian Centre, Ikeja, Lagos, while the reception took place at Ogudu GRA Recreation Centre.

Bolutise Oloyomi, the officiating minister, urged the young couple to love and respect each other. Oloyomi, advised the wife to respect her husband and also admonished her husband to love his wife. He said the couple has a responsibility to ensure the success of their marriage.

Dignitaries that graced the wedding included Adebayo Fatoba, Oba Alara of Ekiti, Professor Oye Ibidapo Obe, former Vice Chancellor of University of Lagos, Captain William Noelle, who was the chairman at the wedding reception and Sam Obaze, former managing director of Equity bank. Others are Korede Willoughby, former Nigeria’s ambassador to France, Anthony Awoye, former managing director Nigeria Port Authority and many other dignitaries.

The couple has just returned to the country from their honeymoon in Ghana. Ola said that her honeymoon in Ghana was full of fun and excitement. She explained that her marriage to Richard was ordained by God. When we first met in the church, it was just like saying will this work out but thank God today the dream has come through. Richard is a lovely gentleman and I’m excited being his wife,” she said.
