LAI Mohammed, minister of Information and Culture, has condoled with the family of the late Dr. Amuda Aluko, as well as the Emir of Ilorin and the government and people of Kwara State, on the demise of the late foremost medical practitioner.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, the minister described the late  Amuda Aluko as a respected elder statesman and opinion moulder, who contributed greatly to the development of Kwara State in particular and that of the nation in general.

He said that in his lifetime, Aluko, who was a member of the National Reconciliation Committee, always put the interest of the people of the state at the centre of his actions, whether as a community leader or as a medical practitioner.

”It was therefore not a surprise that he bagged the title of the Tafida of Ilorin, one of the highest and most respected titles in the Ilorin Emirate, in addition to being bestowed with national honour,” Alhaji Mohammed said.

The minister prayed that Allah will grant the deceased Al Janna Firdaus and grant his family the strength to bear their irreparable loss.
