A Nigerian Commercial Sex worker was confronted and whipped by a man supposed to be one of those maintaining strict adherence towards helping Muslim faithfuls observe the Ramadan fasting period which started on the 11th of March, 2024. 

The fair-skinned lanky sex-worker who was simply identified as Precious, was whipped at about 1am Ghanian time, when she was walking the streets of Avenor with bump-shot which was almost revealing her sacred spots and by extension truncating the efforts of male Muslim faithfuls who are looking forward to focus on reaping the full rewards for the Ramadan observances. 

Recall that prior to the beginning of the African Games, some Nigerian commercial sex workers based in Accra who spoke with this writer ahead of the games had promised to charge Nigerians who come for the games moderately while providing cool-off services during their period of sojourn, but the Ramadan fasting which started while the games continued was expected to make Muslim faithfuls focus on spiritual uplift and shun things of the flesh.

Things seem to be going on fine in the wee hours of Thursday morning along the road when the lady who was walking on the street was accosted by a hefty man with koboko and whipped mercilessly for dressing in a seducing manner that is capable of making a man lose focus. The girl tried to put up a defense while she was being whipped but eventually had to run after seeing that majority of the people on the road did not come to her rescue despite hearing her scream aloud on the road. 

She immediately disappeared and fear gripped every other young girl who paraded themselves on the road for the purpose of commercializing their bodies, and this writer further observed that some of these ladies were forced to change their wears as it was obvious that they had extra decent clothes in their bags even before coming out to perform their role as night children. 

One of the girls who spoke with this writer afterwards noted that she had to follow up on the girl who was whipped, and she observed that her fair-skinned colour had turned to red with bruises and stripes in some part of her legs as a result of the whip from the hefty man. 

Although, the lady argued that the commercial sex worker was not a Muslim and at such not expected to be subjected to that unfair treatment, but the issue of her dressing with intention to seduce remains a critical point which practically was not helpful for the spiritual growth of those observing the Ramadan fasting.
