Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has reshuffled his cabinet, urging all the commissioners to hit the ground running and consolidate on the achievements of their predecessors

WILLIE Obiano, governor of Anambra State has reshuffled his cabinet and moved around some of the commissioners as well as re-designating ministries.

A statement issued by Ifeanyi Aniagoh, senior special assistant to the governor on Social Media, listed Ogbuefi Tony Nnacheta as the commissioner for Information and Communications Strategy, while Uju Nwogu is the commissioner for Youth Entrepreneurship and Sports Development.

Ifeatu Onejeme is the commissioner for Finance, Industry, Innovations and Development Finance Institutions, Chinwe Nwebili, commissioner for Road, Rail & Water Transportation, Amaka Ilobi, commissioner for Trade, Commerce, Markets and Wealth Creation while Okey Morka is the Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Rural Development.

Also, Stella Onuora is now the commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Culture and Tourism while Ifeanyi Ejikeme is commissioner for Environment, Beautification and Ecology.; Mark Okoye, special adviser, ministry of Economic a Planning, Budget & Development Partners. This ministry will in the interim be overseen by the secretary to the State Government.

The newly re-designated ministries with their commissioners retained are Law Chinwuba for Road Construction, Road Furniture and Maintenance, Greg Obi, Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs; Victoria Chikwelu, Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Frank Ofor, an engineer, Housing and Urban Renewal; Obi Nwankwo, commissioner for Power and Domestic Water Development; Chinedu Emeka, Commissioner for Mineral Resources, Science and Technology; Afam Mbanefo, commissioner for Agriculture, Mechanisation, Processing & Export.

The commissioners and ministries retained unchanged are Professor Kate Omenugha, Education, Anali Chude, attorney general; Joe Akabuike, Health;

Other principal officers retained are Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, secretary to the State government, Professor Joe Asike, chief of staff, Willie Nwokoye, principal secretary,

Obiano has urged the commissioners to hit the ground running and build on the monumental successes recorded in the last two years.
