OKAA OMEE Youths Club Umuoji honours Chigbo, Okey Osefo and others in 2022 Patron’s Investiture, Merit Award Ceremony

THE 2022 Investiture and Award ceremony of the OKAA OMEE Youths Club Umuoji was held on January 8, and among the dignitaries honored at the well- attended gathering included the new patrons and some prominent sons and daughters of Umuoji, including Maureen Chigbo and Okey Osefo.

The patrons and grand patrons of the club, the merit awardees and the newly initiated members of the club expressed their support with some financial donations.

In his welcome address, the Chairman of the ceremony, Ifeanyi Muoemenam, announced that the club was planning to build a Guest House, which is estimated at N250 million and requested for support from the members of the Club and the guests.

He explained that the club also has plans to set up a Cooperative Society, which will be beneficial to the members and the community at large.

The Chairman concluded his address by expressing his appreciation to the executive members of the club as well as the investiture committee members for making a huge success of the ceremonies.

Earlier in his address, the president general of the club, Tony Obiaku, acknowledged the presence of the dignitaries and apologized for the delay in starting the ceremonies on schedule.

The Regent of Umuoji, who spoke after the presidential address, announced his donation N120,000 to the Club.

The guests were entertained by dancers from Our Lady Cultural Dance, Choreography, while refreshments were served to all the guests.
