Peter Ayodele Fayose, politician and governor of Ekiti State, 56, November 15. Born in Oyo State, he attended Saint Leo’s Catholic Primary School, Ibadan; Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo, and Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ibadan. He was Chief Executive Officer, Spotless Investment Limited, and elected governor of Ekiti State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, 2003. He could not complete his tenure as a result of an impeachment in 2006. He was re-elected governor, 2014 to date. Fayose is the only Nigerian politician to defeat an incumbent governor two times in the history of the country.
