A member of the House of Representatives, Mr Dachung Bagos, (Jos South/East) has promised to deliver the dividends of democracy to his constituents to improve their lives.

Bagos made the promise in Jos on Monday while commissioning a hall he built for youths in Jos East Local Government Area.

He said that building the ultra modern hall would help the community at large and also the youth to carry out their activities.

“I am happy to have been able to build and commission this project, the people of the constituency deserve this kind of dividends of democracy.

“I will never withhold what belongs to the people, especially my constituents, I will give what belongs to you, I am in the National Assembly for you and not for myself.

“Without you I will not be in the National Assembly, my prayer is for me to be able to replicate things like this and even more all around Jos East and Jos South.

“If I can do all of these things within a very short period, be rest assured that I can do more if my time in the green chambers is extended,” he said.

The lawmaker called on the people of the constituency to vote for him and the Peoples Democratic Party in 2023 election, adding that he and the party were ready to serve Nigerians.

In his remarks, the traditional ruler of Izere, Agwom Izere, Dr Isaac Wakili, thanked the legislator for building the Afizere Youth Movement, promising that it would be put to good use and serve his people positively.

Wakili urged the lawmaker to always push for laws that would benefit the people of the constituency.

He also called on him to draw the attention of government to the deplorable roads in the areas.(NAN)
