Rosemary Alewo Abdullahi, physician and administrator, 66, March 3. Born in Egume, Kogi State, she was educated at the Native Authority, NA, Primary School, Anyigba, 1959-1961; Government Girls’ College, Kano, 1962-1966; Gindiri Secondary School, Gindiri, Plateau State, 1967-1969; Ahmadu Bello University, Medical School, Zaria, 1970-1975, and Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda, 1978-1979. Abdullahi was appointed house officer, General Hospital, Makurdi, medical officer in charge of Maternal/Child Health; principal, School of Health Technology, Idah, and chief health officer, ministry of health, Makurdi, Benue State. She was appointed sole administrator, Olamaboro local government area of Kogi State in 1989. She is a member, World Health Organisation, WHO, Expert Committee on Malaria.
