IT is absolutely TRUE that when the righteous  rules, the people rejoice. But when the contrary is the case, the people suffer.

The above axiom becomes more apt when you have RULERS without listening ears to the outcry of the people they claim to rule.

Nigerian governments at the federal, State and Local government levels are supposed to be ruling human beings and not animals.  It therefore becomes advisable that the governments at whatever level should have listening ears as feedback mechanism from those of us they rule.  Government can never be correct all the time.

Government should be a two-way traffic of” give and take”. So thank God Nigeria is not presently in a Military Rule that simply dishes out ORDERS without recourse.

President Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu came into Office since May 29,2023. Unfortunately, that same day while taking his Oath of Office, Tinubu spontaneously announced the removal of the ” fuel subsidy” which his predecessor s had been cautious to announce. According to President Tinubu,” the fuel subsidy is gone” but the after effect is what Nigerians are going through since then. It was spontaneous as no previous plans were on ground to cushion the after effect of the subsidy removal.  Since them fuel prices had gone up twice from #180 now to near #700 per litre. Cost of living as well as transportation etc have escalated so high beyond the reach of the common man .

Nigerians are saying that government should quickly restore the Refineries which obviously would bring down fuel prices and thus normalize the high rocketing cost of living in the Country.

But the Tinubu’s government says it would  dish out #5 Billion to each of the 36 States plus Abuja as Palliatives to the people . The federal government also contemplates sharing cups of Rice to people.

This is where Nigerians are presently.  But the big question is what are the modalities for sharing #5Billion in each State even when their populations are not the same?

NIGERIANS have not forgotten too soon how ex- President Buhari and his vice,  Prof. Yemi Osibanjo also share “TRADER MONIE ” as well as other food items.  But how many needy Nigerians really benefitted from that exercise? In some States, those in charge stored the food items palliatives in hidden warehouses until some restive Youths discovered them and burst them open.

Anybody, therefore who encourages distributions of palliatives to Nigerians is an enemy of the people. For the Tinubu administration to even contemplate sharing of two or four cups of rice to  some Nigerians should be seen as a big insult to the people.

TINUBU’S government should please listen to the voice of the people. Sharing of palliatives is childish and another avenue of enriching some people.

I never knew of anybody who benefitted from sharing of the past palliatives here in Enugu Capital City where I reside or even in my Town, EZIAMA Autonomous Ancient Kingdom ruled by HRM, Eze, Sir, Dr. I. I. Anyadiegwu,Eze Ama- ama 1.

So sharing of Palliatives is a ruse.
