Ukodhiko congratulates Philo Apena, new chair of DSTVB

THE member representing Isoko North/South Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Jonathan Ukodhiko has congratulated Mrs Philo Apena on her appointment as the Chairperson of Delta State Technical and Vocational Board.

The PDP’s Federal lawmaker in a statement released by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Ajiri-Oghene Oreh, on Thursday, described Mrs Apena as a remarkable woman who has distinguished herself in politics and public service in Delta State.

According to Ukodhiko, “Mrs Apena’s appointment as Chairman of Delta’s Technical and Vocational Board is well deserved giving her remarkable performance as an immediate past Senior Special Assistant on Women Mobilization, and as a grassroot politician of note.

“Mrs Apena is very passionate about skills development for vocational and entrepreneurial engagements. She has contributed immensely to education and human development in Isoko and Delta State. Her appointment on Wednesday is a further call for State service. 

“I am very confident in the zeal, determination, and capacity of Mrs Philo Apena to reposition the Delta State Technical and Vocation Board to meeting contemporary challenges, demands and socioeconomic realities.” Hon. Ukodhiko stated.

The Isoko federal lawmaker urged Mrs Philo Apena to see to the training and retraining of Staff in order for them to carry out their duties more professionally and competently, saying that “the new wealth of nations are in entrepreneurship.”

Ukodhiko said: “On behalf of the  people of Isoko North/South Federal Constituency, I felicitate with an illustrious daughter and consummate politician of Isoko-nation, Mrs Philo Apena on her appointment as the Chairman of the Delta State Technical and Vocational Board by the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

“I’m optimistic in your abilities as Chairman to rise up to the task of producing the best and most efficient skilled and productive manpower for the technological advancement and industrial development of Isoko-nation and Delta State in general.

“As the representative of the Isoko people at the National Assembly, be assured, I’ll work collaboratively with you in order to ensure we produce technicians, technologists, engineers, entrepreneurs in Isoko who will be well equipped and groomed to create jobs for themselves and others. “ Ukodhiko added
