Unilorin refuses to join ASUU strike

Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, the University of Ilorin chapter have refused to join the industrial action called by the national body.
A visit to the university shows some students who are on campus getting set for registration with the surroundings empty of activities.
The branch chairman of ASUU, Uthman Abdulraheem, says the institution did not join the strike as they were not officially communicated to by the union which has been happening for years.
According to Abdulraheem, the inability to resolve the alleged sacking of 41 lecturers by the university years ago was responsible for not joining the industrial action called by the national body.
