Chris Mamah, journalist, 55, October 15. Born in Koko, Delta State, he was educated at the University of Calabar, 1979-1983. He was elected president, National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, 1981. Mamah was appointed senior reporter, National Concord, Ikeja, 1985-1986; assistant news editor, National Concord, 1986-1987; assistant news editor, Punch newspapers, 1987-1988; news editor, Punch newspapers, 1988-1990; deputy editor, Punch, 1990-1992 and former managing editor and managing director, The Week magazine. He was appointed senior special assistant, special duties to former vice-president, Atiku Abubakar, 1999-2005.
