Music producer docked for allegedly attempting to steal Jeep

A 43-year-old music producer, Ekenedilichukwu Okwor, on Wednesday appeared in a Tinubu Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly attempting to steal a Range Rover Jeep worth N10million.
The police charged Owor with attempted auto theft.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecution counsel, ASP Ben Ekundayo, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Feb. 7, at 8. 45p.m. at Landmark Tower, 5b Water Cooperation Road, Oniru Victoria Island, Lagos.
He alleged that the defendant entered the Landmark Tower Hotel and attempted to steal Range Rover Jeep, belonging to Mr Paul Owambe, the Managing director of the hotel.
He added that the defendant walked into the hotel premises and was caught trying to open the vehicle.
He added that Okwor claimed that the vehicle belonged to him.
Ekundayo said that the offence contravened the provisions of Section 406 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Chief Magistrate O.O. Oshin admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until March 16 for hearing.(NAN)
