KAYARDA community, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has passed a vote of confidence Mr Solomon Akwashiki, member representing Lafia Central Constituency at the State House of Assembly

The community also called on the lawmaker to  contest for the seat of Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency come 2027.

Chief Uba Mohammed, the Village Head of the community stated this when he led other title holders and stakeholders on a solidarity visit to Akwashiki on Thursday in Lafia.

Mohammed said that Akwashiki has performed credibly, hence the need of the call on him to contest for the Reps seat come 2027.

He said that the visit was to rejoice with the lawmaker over his purposeful leadership in the last one year in office.

The village head said that the visit was also to appreciate the lawmaker for sinking a borehole in their community.

Mohammed said, “In the history of this constituency, we have not seen a representative that is working like you.

” You have done it and you are doing it for us and other people of our constituency.

” We are happy with what you are doing and we pray to God to give you more strength and good health to perform more.”

The leader of the delegation assured the lawmaker of their sustained loyalty, prayers  and support to succeed.

He appealed to Akwashiki to facilitate the upgrade of the Kayarda Chiefdom to give them a sense of belonging.

In a related development, Agwatashi Unity Forum from Obi Local Government Area, led by Mr Bala Musa, has visited Akwashiki on the need for him to contest for Lafia/ Obi House of Representatives come 2027.

Musa said that the performance of Akwashiki was exciting and urged him to contest for the Reps seat in order to bring more Federal Government’s presence to the constituency.

He assured the lawmaker of their readiness to mobilise support for him to succeed.

Responding, Akwashiki assured the people of his continued commitment to initiate different policies and programmes that would  have direct bearing on their lives.

” I want to thank you all for the visit and to assure you of my determination to bring more dividends of democracy to your doorsteps.

” What I am doing is to improve your standard of living and for the overall development of our constituency and the state at large,” he said.

Akwashiki pleaded for more time to answer their call on him to contest for the Reps in 2027.

” I will answer your call at an approximate time because your call is apt and timely,” he said.

The lawmaker also called on his constituents to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.(NAN)
