Madariola becomes MAPOLY’s second-ever female Bursar

THE Governing Council of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta has approved the appointment of Mrs Folasade Madariola as the institution’s Bursar, an official said on Tuesday.

Mr Yemi Ajibola, the polytechnic’s Head, Public Relations and Protocol, who disclosed this in a statement in Abeokuta said Madariola has thus become the institution’s second-ever female and eighth Bursar.

Ajibola said Madariola’s appointment was conveyed in a letter signed by the Chairman, Governing Council of MAPOLY, Prof. Kamaldeen Balogun.

”It takes effect from Sept. 10 for a single non-renewable term of five years,” he added.

Madariola became the Bursar of the Polytechnic after the expiration of the tenure of the erstwhile Bursar, Mr Fatai Yekini, on Sept. 9.

She joined the service of the Polytechnic as an Accountant II in 1999 and rose through the ranks.

Until her appointment, she was a Chief Accountant in the Bursary Department, a post she held since 2017.

An alumna of Ogun State Polytechnic (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta) from the Department of Accountancy, she is also a First Class graduate (B.Sc Accounting) of Crescent University.

Madariola attended Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso in Oyo State for a Masters in Business Administration (MBA)(with specialisation in Finance).

While presenting her the letter of appointment on behalf of the Governing Council, the Rector, Dr Adeoye Odedeji, congratulated the new Bursar and wished her a successful tenure.(NAN)
