UCL: Dortmund without defender Ryerson for trip to Newcastle
Sports
BORUSSIA Dortmund will be without defender Julian Ryerson for the Champions League game at Newcastle on Wednesday.
“He called in sick this morning. Otherwise everyone is on board,” sporting director Sebastian Kehl said ahead of the team’s departure to England on Tuesday.
“We’re in good shape and have gained stability. That’s why we’re in a position to get something there (at Newcastle).”
Coach Edin Terzic also hopes his team can draw inspiration from their Bundesliga form.
“The Champions League is the next competition in which we want to make something good,” he said. (dpa/NAN)
