
Prof. Olukoshi to speak at ABU’s 42nd Convocation Ceremony & Diamond Jubilee

THE Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria has announced that Professor Adebayo Olukoshi, will deliver the university’s 42nd Convocation Ceremony & Diamond Jubilee lecture on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
The event, which is being organised by the International Studies Alumni Association in collaboration with the University’s Department of Political Science and International Studies, will take place at the auditorium of the Central Bank Centre for Excellency, ABU, Zaria.
According to the statement signed by Abdullahi Shuaibu, National Public Relations Officer, of the International Studies Alumni Association, Professor Olukoshi who holds a first class degree in International Studies from ABU, Zaria, and a Doctorate in Politics from Leeds University, United Kingdom, will be speaking on “Nigeria: Character Builds A Nation, Dignity Transforms It.”
With over 35 years of experience in the field of international relations, political economy, democracy, governance and human rights, Prof. Olukoshi is currently a researcher at Wits School of Governance, University of Witswaterstrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, and a one-time Director, International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), Regional Office for Africa and West Asia and Head of its Liaison Office to the African Union, AU, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
